Hong Kong Baptist University Sustainability Report 2023-2024 comprehensively summarises the University’s activities and initiatives that have contributed to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Our General Education (GE) Programme provides various courses and activities to achieve those goals. For example,

 

 

GCAP 3117 Data Storytelling for Gender Equality allows students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to understand the influence of gender statistics on policy development.

GCAP3005 MathRomance guides students to explore the complexities of romantic relationships, including gender equality, from a mathematical perspective. 

 

 

GCAP3065 Design for Smart City: Towards Sustainable Living not only provides students with a thorough understanding of sustainability and social responsibility but also engages them in a series of technological innovation training activities.

 

 

GCAP3166 Financial Planning: A Pre-emptive Measure to Various Social Issues guides students to explore social issues arising from inadequate financial planning.

 

GTCU2025 Gender, Language, and Creativity enables students to identify and critically reflect on inequality issues in everyday language use, cutting across various demographics, such as gender, age, race, and social class. 

 

 

GCAP3157 Leisure and Well-Being: Coping with Stress allows students to explore stress management skills through a deepened connection with nature and an appreciation of its profound impact on physical, mental, and emotional health.
