Financial Planning: A Pre-emptive Measure to Various Social Issues

This is an Experiential Learning Course.

This course is designed to help students realise the importance of personal financial planning to their future.  Students will understand how to build a financial plan to achieve their life goals, both financial and non-financial.  Other essential personal finance topics (e.g., budgeting, saving, investing, etc.) will be introduced to address financial problems in various contexts.

To achieve the learning outcomes of the course, students will be required to design and deliver a financial planning or personal finance project for their chosen users (e.g., the youth, elderly, disabled, young professionals, unemployed, etc.). This experiential learning project will allow students to integrate academic content in solving real-world social issues.
