AI in T&L and Assessments
The Centre for Holistic Teaching and Learning has published an e-flipbook on AI in Teaching & Learning (T&L) and Assessments. Our General Education (GE) Programme has been actively working to integrate AI technology. For example:
-
GTCU2056 Adventures, Treasures, and Archaeology in China teaches students how to use 3D GenAI tools and demonstrates their applications.
-
GTSC2006 Becoming Critically Thoughtful Cyberworld Citizens incorporates HKBU ChatGPT into the curriculum and highlights the biases and limitations inherent in large language models (LLMs), providing students with first-hand experience of the challenges that technologies can pose. Additionally, GenAI is used to evaluate assessments in this course to explore the possibilities of using AI as a tool to complement human judgment in grading students' work while also addressing the broader implications of AI in the learning context.
-
GCAP3056 Taking a Stand: Turning Research Insights into Policy Recommendations integrates AI tools into the assessment process and encourages students to complete their assignments using customized AI chatbots, allowing them to focus on their research and analytical skills.
