The Challenges of Being a Social Entrepreneur in Hong Kong:
The Experiences of Diamond Cab

Diamond Cab, the first wheelchair accessible taxi service in Hong Kong, has been serving over 108,000 trips since Feb 2011. The 7 barrier-free cabs not only transport the wheelchair-bound passengers with safety and dignity every day, but also create huge impact of visualizing modern style of ageing care.

However, the operation cost of running Diamond Cab is inevitably high because Doris Leung, the Founder and CEO, insists to have the top quality of service for the wheelchair users like her late mother in need.

How can Doris overcome the huge challenges and difficulties to run Diamond Cab and even scale it up with innovative ideas and different resources? What is the essence of social entrepreneurship in practice? Doris will give you a sharing talk with her beloved stories of Diamond Cab.

The event will be held in English, and  recognized as a CCL activity.
