About GTSU2026 Sustainable Peace: Conflict-Resolution and Reconciliation of Divided Communities
This course introduces students to the emerging fields of Peace and Conflict Studies and Transitional Justice – including core theories and practical tools – with particular focus on the conflict dynamics and examples of progress in contemporary Europe and Asia. It equips students with the necessary conceptual tools and skills for conflict analysis and attunes them to the political, socioeconomic, and cultural perspectives of different social actors. Through lectures, role-plays, simulations, and comparative reflections, students will gain both cognitive and experiential learning, ultimately preparing them to contribute to conflict resolution and post-conflict reconciliation in their own communities.
