GE Teaching Award

Introduction

Established under the President’s Award for Outstanding Performance in Teaching, the General Education (GE) Teaching Award aims at recognizing individual academic/teaching colleagues’ outstanding performance and devotion to the teaching of GE courses. The GE Teaching award comprises a monetary prize of HK$5,000 and an Award Certificate of recognition. The award recipients will be automatically nominated for the President’s Award for Outstanding Performance in Teaching with other candidates of the year.

There are three categories of award:

  • General Education Teaching Award (Individual)
  • General Education Teaching Award (Early Career)
  • General Education Teaching Award (Team)

 

The recipients of the GE Teaching Award will be considered as nominees for the President’s Awards in the teaching categories with other nominated candidates of the year under the same selection criteria.

 

In the event that the GE teaching awardees are selected for the President’s Award for Outstanding Performance in Teaching, they can be considered as University’s potential nominees for the UGC Awards with other eligible candidates.
