Introduction

 

Two outstanding alumni of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) – Candace Chong, four-time winner of the Best Script Award by the Hong Kong Drama Awards, and Chan Cheuk Wai Octavian, winner of the Award for Young Artist of the Hong Kong Arts Development Awards, join hands to create an original drama which examines the vision and philosophy of university education, drawing inspirations from real-life challenges faced by CUHK as it enters its 50th anniversary.

 

Lucretia, a student of the final A-level exam, has taken up the study of Philosophy after failing to choose her first priority. She cares nothing but only the GPA. Unexpectedly, Lucretia meets a year-2 law student, Jeremy, who is actively participating in student movements. Jeremy brings Lucretia to the school debating team which is organized by a professor, and shares with her the passion in joining student movements. Finally, they get closer and closer.

 

However, Jeremy is arrested during a student movement. The education philosophy of the professor is challenged by other people. Lucretia gets into a heated debate with her professor and argues, “Education cannot change the society! Education is just talking the talk!” Will the professor change the student’s mind or will it be the other way round?
