GE Retreat: Assessment without Tears

GE Retreat AY2014-15 S2: Assessment without Tears
Prof. Spencer A. Benson (University of Macau)
Mrs. Eliza Xue (ACLW)
Prof. Michel A. Van Hove (PHYS)
Assessment draws most attention and concern by learners. They may regurgitate facts on the day but forget them after tests and examinations. To inspire them for learning, educators can create a culture for making inquiry and building learners’ capability to discover as we aspire to advocate creativity-inspiring education in HKBU.
This retreat will invite you to reflect on current assessment practices and consider designing formative and summative assessments that may engage learners and instil curiosity. Don’t miss this valuable opportunity to exchange and excel together!
Date: 28th Apr 2015 (Tue)
Time: 9:30am – 12:45pm
