About GTCU2025 Gender, Language, and Creativity

The course aims to introduce students from a wide variety of disciplines to an extensive body of literature on how gender affects individual’s creative selection of language during communication. Students will develop a systematic understanding of how different people make innovative and creative use of language and how their linguistic creativity or idiosyncrasy reflects the construction and reproduction of gender similarities/differences, individual identity, personal relationship, and gender politics in real-life communication.
