On 25 January 2018, the “GE Outstanding Students Award Ceremony” was held to recognize students who have excellent performance in GE courses, GE activities as well as enthusiastic contribution in community services. We were honored to have Ms. Esther Wong, the Patron and Vice-President of HKBU Century Club, as our guest to present the awards and share the fruitful outcomes with us in the ceremony.

After the award presentation, the five awardees shared their whole-person learning experience in GE courses. They believed that GE courses helped them in their career path since they could learn different useful skills such as public speaking and IT knowledge. Besides, they participated in various GE activities such as outing to the New Life Social Enterprise, volunteer trainings and so on.

GE courses and activities help students to achieve the goal of whole-person development. They become well-prepared for the challenges in school life and workplace through interdisciplinary learning in different GE courses outside their major studies, as well as participation in thought-provoking and engaging activities outside the classroom.

Please view the sharing by the awardees and the event photos below.
