Have you seen the sea caves in Hong Kong?

 

Sai Kung is located in the eastern part of Hong Kong where you can see the fascinating natural scenery. In this tour, let’s go back to the nature, kayak through Jin Island and explore Sharp Island. You can also develop your potential, understand the importance of teamwork and reflect on the relationship between human and nature.

Details
  • Learn Basic Kayaking
  • Kayak through the bell-shaped arch of Jin Island and Sha Tong Hau Cave (Lifejacket will be provided)
  • Swim and Snorkel around Sharp Island (Please bring your own snorkeling gear)

 

Itinerary:

Morning Gather at Sai Kung New Public Pier
  Briefing Session by Coach
  Kayak through the bell-shaped arch of Jin Island and Sha Tong Hau Cave
Noon Lunch
Afternoon Swim and Snorkel around Sharp Island
  Return

This activity will be conducted  in Cantonese  and is a  CCL-recognized event .
Fee HKD$50 (Deposit: HKD$50) Lunch and 2 bottles of drinks are included.
Eligibility Full-time UGC-funded undergraduates of HKBU
Registration Method From 4 Sep to 8 Sep, bring along your student ID card and pay HKD$100 in cash at the GE Office (AAB805, 10am to 12:45pm, 2:30pm to 5:45pm). The deposit ($50) will be refunded to students who attend the activity and submit reflective journals on time. Limited quotas. First come, first served!
Registration Deadline 5:45pm, 8 Sep 2017 (Fri)

*To ensure participant’s safety throughout the activities, you will also need to fill in a health declaration form when you apply for the Tour.
*In case of bad weather and the Tour is canceled or postponed, participants will be informed 2 hours before the Tour begins.

 

Reflective Journal Details

Content Upload 1 photo taken at the event and write a caption of at least 100 words to describe your thoughts/feelings from the event.
Submission Deadline 11:59pm, 2 Oct 2017 (Mon)
Submission Method Step 1: On your Facebook “Status”, Upload a photo taken at the event and write a caption of at least 100 words to describe your thoughts/feelings from the activity. Set the privacy for Public view. At the end of the status, add the following sentence:

Step 2: Visit “General Education at HKBU” Facebook Page and click “Message” (top right corner). State your contact information and the posting time of your Reflective Journal as follows:
