Do you want to get close to nature as well as to explore historical architecture and cultural heritage in one single trip? Do out miss out on this event!

Yim Tin Tsai is a Hakka village located in Sai Kung with nearly three hundred years of history and Catholic traditions. The residents made a living by farming and salt-making in the earlier days. Although all villagers had moved out, the historical architecture, old salt pans, natural surroundings and the Hakka culture of the island are still worth exploring and appreciating.

This tour will bring you to enjoy the scenery of the salterns and the natural environment, visit St. Joseph’s Chapel which was identified as Grade II historical building by the government and look around the Tsing Boor School which has been turned into a heritage center exhibiting the relics of Yim Tin Tsai. Besides learning about the history of the village during the trip, students will also have a chance to taste homemade snack – Hakka Rice Dumpling!
