“Vienna is…”

A Cross-Faculty Teaching Demonstration of a Sample General Education Course

Abstract

This demonstration models a possible GE course designed for Year One undeclared majors meeting the new 3+3+4 requirement in University English. Team-taught from a variety of disciplinary perspectives, “Vienna Is . . .” provides students with exposure to a variety of disciplines and potential major pathways. Compressed for demonstration purposes, the course could be readily expanded into a semester-long course.
