Holistic Health Creative Competition aims to arouse the awareness of HKBU students towards holistic health (physical, mental and spiritual health) and spread positive messages through creative ways.
Competition Details:
Theme Promote the importance of positive psychology and healthy life styles; Encourage HKBU students to handle different situations with optimistic and proactive attitude, as well as to relieve emotions when facing challenges or unhappiness.
Requirements
Group 1: Writing
  • No limitation on the genre (e.g. essay, poem, script, etc.) and the subject (e.g. story, interview, personal feelings, etc.)
  • Maximum 800 words in Chinese or English with a title; submit in electronic format (MS Word file)
Group 2: Graphic
  • Photo, drawing, poster, computer graphic, digital edited image, etc.
  • Graphic works with a title and explanation of the rationale of the design; submit in electronic format (PDF)
Eligibility
  • Full-time UGC-funded undergraduates of HKBU
  • Both individual work and group work are welcome with no limitation of the number of works
Prizes A set of prizes is available for each group of competition (i.e. writing and graphic):
Gold (1 quota)  ~ Certificate and $800 cash coupon
Silver (1 quota)  ~ Certificate and $500 cash coupon
Bronze (2 quotas)  ~ Certificate and $300 cash coupon
Merit (5 quotas)  ~ Certificate and $50 cash coupon
Judging Criteria
  • Creativity (originality and uniqueness of the work)
  • Techniques (wordings, composition of a picture/photo, color, layouts, etc.)
  • Presentation of the theme
Submission Methods
  • Email the writing/graphics with a completed application form to ge@hkbu.edu.hk, stating “Holistic Health Creative Competition” in the subject line of the email
  • Save the work in a CD-ROM or USB and submit it with a completed application form to General Education Office (AAB805, 8/F, Academic and Administration Building) in person during office hours

Submission deadline: 11:00a.m., 14 November 2016 (Monday)
Late submission will be not considered.
Awardees will be notified via email/phone. The details of the presentation ceremony of the award will be announced later.

Other Rules
  • The work for the competition must be original, with no copyright infringement and harm to others benefits.
  • The work for the competition must not be awarded in other competitions.
  • Each person/group can receive one award only.
  • The same writing/graphics can only enter one group of competition (writing or graphic).
  • All writing/graphics for the competition will not be returned after submission.
  • General Education Office reserves the right of using the writing/graphics for the competition for the purposes of in promotion or publication in the future.
  • General Education Office reserves the right of final decision of the competition.
  • General Education Office reserves the right of adjusting the number of the prizes.

整全健康創作比賽旨在鼓勵浸大學生以創意的方式推廣身心靈健康,帶出正面的信息。
比賽詳情:
主題 推廣正向心理及健康生活模式的重要,並鼓勵學生以積極樂觀的心態面對不同事情,在遇到困難或不快時舒緩情緒。
作品要求
組別一:寫作
  • 創作形式:體裁不限(例如散文、詩詞、劇本等),題材不限(例如故事、訪問、個人感受等)
  • 作品要求:中文或英文,字數不多於800字 ,附有標題 (由參加者自訂題目),以WORD格式之電子檔提交
組別二:平面作品
  • 創作形式:以相片、繪畫、海報、電腦繪圖、影像合成等創作皆可
  • 作品要求:輔以標題及說明(中文或英文),表達創作理念,以PDF格式之電子檔提交
參加資格
  • 現就讀獲大學教育資助委員會資助(UGC-Funded)的全日制學士學位課程的浸大學生
  • 以個人或小組參賽均可,遞交作品的數量不限
奬項 寫作及平面作品兩個組別各設有︰
金獎 1 名  ~ 獎狀、現金券$800
銀獎 1 名  ~ 獎狀、現金券$500
銅獎 2 名  ~ 獎狀、現金券$300
優異獎 5 名 ~ 獎狀、現金券$50
評審準則
  • 創意(作品之原創性與獨特性)
  • 技巧(文筆、構圖、配色、版面配置等)
  • 主題表達
參加方法
  • 把作品連同填妥的參加表格以電郵方式遞交至ge@hkbu.edu.hk,電郵主題請註明「整全健康創作比賽作品」
  • 以電腦光碟或記憶體儲存作品,連同填妥的參加表格於辦公時間內親身遞交至通識教育處(教學及行政大樓8樓AAB805室)

截止提交日期︰2016年11月14日上午11時
惟逾期遞交的作品將不獲考慮。得獎者將獲電郵/電話通知領獎, 頒獎典禮日期另函通知。

其他規則
  • 參賽作品須為原創作品,並無侵犯他人的權益及版權
  • 參賽作品未曾在其他比賽中獲獎
  • 每位或每小組參賽者最多獲得一個獎項
  • 每件參賽作品只可參加一個組別的比賽
  • 參賽作品一經遞交將不獲退還
  • 主辦單位保留獎項從缺或酌增得獎名額之裁量權
  • 通識教育處有權利使用參賽作品,作日後出版或宣傳用途
  • 通識教育處保留是次活動之最終決定權
