Consultation on the Review of the General Education Programme

The current General Education (GE) Programme has been implemented for four academic years since 2012. The University considers that it is an opportune time to conduct a holistic review of the GE Programme, through which we hope to enhance the Programme, in order to accommodate the future developments of our academic programmes in our University as we pursue quality teaching and learning.

The GE Committee is commissioned for the task and a Taskforce has been established by the Senate to conduct the review. Chaired by the VPTL, the Taskforce consists of the two student members and Chairman on the GE Committee, representatives of all Faculties/Schools/AVA, Director of GE, Academic Registrar and Director of Student Affairs. It is responsible for collecting and consolidating opinions from different stakeholders, so as to make recommendations on the restructuring of the GE Programme to the Senate.

To collect feedback on the existing GE curriculum from the University community, several consultation sessions will be held in February and March 2017. All students and staff are cordially invited to actively participate in the consultations. Your opinion and input will be essential and highly valuable for the review of the Programme and formulation of recommendations.
