What is the course about?

GCHC1026 offers a survey of Hong Kong history in general and its relevance to world history in particular. Chronologically, it covers a wide range of time span from the early history through archaeological findings to the contemporary developments through a wide range of source materials and scholarly literature. Thematically, it discusses basic patterns of development in history that are of relevance to nowadays Hong Kong.

What do the students say about this course?

…For the second assignment, it requires us to pick a little thing and write about the history behind. At first, I thought this assignment is too challenging for me. But in the end, I wrote about the history of a stamp for 5 pages. I really enjoyed doing the assignments.
