What is the course about?

GDSS1105 introduces students to the issue of self identity at personal, social, national and global levels, as well as from racial, ethnic, gender, and class positions. It focuses on the discussion of social dimensions of self-growth and development in the Hong Kong context and how people’s identities are constructed, contested, lost and transformed within the changing contexts of family, society, and the world.
