Selection Criteria

The Selection Panel will consider each nomination from the Faculty/School/Academy according to the following criteria:

Genuine care and concern for student performance and development

Adoption of learner-centred approaches, ability to engage/inspire students and demonstration of superior classroom acumen

Course/Programme/curriculum design that can reflect a command of the field

Past/present achievement(s) and leadership in teaching and potential scholarly contribution to and impact on the development of effective teaching practice within her/his own institution and/or in other institutions

Thorough understanding on the philosophy of GE

Adoption of appropriate pedagogy and assessment approaches in the delivery of GE course(s)

Active participation and involvement in GE-related staff development activities
