English version

A seal could represent the identity and social status of a person in ancient times. In addition to its high artistic value, it could also be used for authentication by being affixed to documents. Today, the art of Chinese seal engraving with a history of over a thousand years, however, has been shrinking due to technological development of machines.

To promote this traditional craftsmanship, we will cooperate with a local social enterprise – The Eldage and have invited Master Ng who has been devoting himself to the industry of Chinese seal engraving for decades to share the history and culture as well as the skills of seal engraving in the workshop. Students will have a chance to learn the traditional culture and engrave a unique seal by themselves!
